Résumé : The rapid advancement of embedded electronics has significantly increased the complexity of modern automotive systems. Among these systems, Electric Power Steering (EPS) plays a crucial role in ensuring vehicle safety, driving comfort, and energy efficiency. As EPS Electronic Control Units (ECUs) become more sophisticated, diagnosing hardware-related failures has become increasingly challenging. At JTEKT Automotive Morocco, the absence of a local diagnostic solution often requires complex customer claims to be investigated by external technical centers, resulting in longer analysis times and limited local autonomy. This project aims to develop a monitoring and diagnostic tool dedicated to EPS ECUs using CANoe, CAPL, and Python. The proposed solution enables real-time monitoring of CAN signals, acquisition of diagnostic data, detection of abnormal hardware behavior, visualization of ECU signals, and automatic generation of diagnostic reports. To support the development process, a custom DBC database, CAPL scripts, and a Python-based application were designed and integrated into a unified diagnostic framework. Due to the limited availability of real failure data and the unavailability of a dedicated investigation workstation during the internship, a virtual EPS environment was developed to simulate realistic fault scenarios and validate the proposed solution under controlled conditions. The obtained results demonstrate that the developed tool can successfully monitor critical ECU parameters, identify hardware anomalies, and facilitate the investigation of customer claims. Overall, this work provides JTEKT Automotive Morocco with a practical and scalable diagnostic solution that strengthens local investigation capabilities, reduces dependence on external expertise, and contributes to improving the efficiency and reliability of the customer quality investigation process.
